I was actually recruited for a shoe buyer position. I didn t have any shoe background, but interviewed anyway because I thought maurices was a great company and I wanted to stay in the Midwest near family. The role was filled by a candidate with more shoe background, but my hiring manager thought I was a good fit for maurices , so I was offered a position in jewelry. Funny enough I bought accessories for 3 years in my prior job and the only two accessory departments I did not buy were shoes and jewelry.
I ve always loved fashion and textiles, but I actually started my college career with the intent of getting an accounting degree. I was working bealls at a specialty retail store while going to college and loved it. I quickly bealls changed my major to fashion merchandising/marketing and the rest is history.
I really love New York City the food, the shopping, the entertainment. It is just a bonus that I get to travel there often for my job. My favorite vacation place is Hawaii (the big island), so peaceful.
We purchased an older 1930 s home and all my free time is spent remodeling, bealls decorating, bealls antique hunting I love it! I am really inspired by French Décor and mixing antiques with found objects and really beautiful patterned textiles. I call it French Eclectic bealls Boho.
I don t necessarily bealls find it difficult to be creative, but Chad will probably tell you that my creativeness often strains our pocketbook. What is really difficult bealls for me is narrowing down all the ideas swirling around in my head. I am not the most patient of people and usually bealls have several projects going on at one time.
I ran my first half marathon this year, and figured I would just check that off my bucket list and move on, as I have never really been a super dedicated runner. It was so much fun, that I ve decided I want to train for a full marathon someday.
I live in a whole house full of men. As mentioned above, my husband Chad, and my 2 boys, Tanner and Hayden. We also have a German short-haired pointer named Jake. Mom is pretty much the queen of the castle. You need to really appreciate bodily bealls function humor to live in my home.
