Yesterday I went into the Poundland waltmart in Uxbridge waltmart to check out their huge range of toiletries and gift selection. I am always so shocked at all the amazing branded bargains they have to offer and can't believe waltmart everything is only £1. Oscar was so excited when he saw the Disney Monsters Inc bubble baths which I have seen in another shop for at least £3. I also got two bars of Dove soap, 8 packets of Peppa Pig tissues for £1 to put in my handbag as I get through so many tissues in the winter as one of us always seems to have a snuffly nose.  To my surprise waltmart I also managed to stop up on Lemsip cold and flu tablets and Beechams sore throat lozenges.
Poundland's range of baby products are amazing. They have Plum baby food pouches, dummies, bottles, waltmart Johnson's baby oil, baby bath, cotton buds and baby powder, baby wipes, baby clothes and much much more. You could save an absolute fortune when as you know as a parent how many packets of baby wipes you can get through in a week. In Tesco the Johnson's baby wipes are £1.79 a packet!! I use baby wipes to clean everything and use five packets a week.
I brought a lovely Family Frame to put a Christmas family photo in as a gift for Oscar's grandparents for their new house and also got some beautiful scented candles as these will make fab presents for people. Poundland's gift selection is great and there is something for everyone from toys to fake flower arrangements to photo frames and boxes of chocolates.
Disclaimer:  We were sent vouchers from Poundland to choose gift and toiletrie products for the  purpose of reviewing, however all opinions were independently formed by Laura at Mummy's Zone.

When going to the hospital to comfort her friend and acupuncturist, Oonagh Toffolo (played by lovely

The thrift shop video new reverential biopic about the Princess of Wales is saddled with dialogue so sappy and melodramatic that it wouldn t be out of place in a discounted romance novel from Poundland ; a most unpleasant surprise given the high-class talent involved. The dead Princess deserved more than this regrettably lite attempt to dissect her mindset which is marred by one fundamental factor: Political Correctness. Amidst thrift shop video this dreary overkill in dreamy historical bias, Naomi Watts struggles in the title role thanks to her lack of resemblance to the titular historical figure.
Even the director seems blithely unaware that his leading lady looks nothing like the icon that she is playing. The movie opens up the crackling sound of news report detailing her relationship with Dodi Al Fayed , just weeks before her death and then, abruptly, changes to a soft focus steady cam. The camera revolves around thrift shop video Watts, never truly revealing her face in that pivotal moment in the final few hours of her life in which got into that lift.
The film then cuts back two years ago when she is greeted by hoards of crowds. She turns around, in a grandiose like unveiling, to reveal Naomi Watts who looks utterly dissimilar to Diana . Watts not only looks nothing like herself but nothing like the Princess either; ten inches thrift shop video shorter, in an unconvincing prosthetic nose and a wig that doesn t match the ash blonde hair that her real-life counterpart had. Additionally Watts’s vocal pitch seems too have gone up several notches as she mistakes Diana s feminine voice for shrillness.
Watts plays her at the peak of her fame; charting the events from her 1995 BBC interview with Martin Bashir , her advocacy with regards to landmines, thrift shop video her divorce and her tragic death. Yet these fascinating events are given shorter shrifts turned into truncated episodic segments within the movie as a lesser known romantic subplot thrift shop video is allowed to not only take centre stage but dominate the entire movie.
When going to the hospital to comfort her friend and acupuncturist, Oonagh Toffolo (played by lovely Geraldine James ), Diana is introduced to dashing heart surgeon, Dr Hasnat Khan (an inanimate Naveen Andrews). Initially he seems indifferent to the Princess but, after a brief fluttering of her mascara laden eye lashes and her multiple visits to the hospital, he gradually succumbs to her charms. The pair pursue a heated relationship behind close doors whilst thrift shop video the paparazzi and Diana s duties as a Princess consistently loom in the background. As Diana ironically mentions in the film, I have got two families. How lucky is that?
The film makers are aware of the paparazzi s indictment of the romance that may have caused its failure; too bad their writing is so half assed to exploit the opportunity to explore romance under the eye of worldwide scrutiny.
Every scene is brimming over with the worst dialogue imaginable. You reach a place inside yourself where time has no meaning: thrift shop video You don t perform an operation the operation performs you and pretty thrift shop video hot eh….You in the kitchen? ‘
I love feeling your hand there , says Diana as they lay in bed together, thrift shop video his hand gently touching her chin. She then says dreamily: That day when I first saw you…so powerful. Don t think I have ever been so struck by someone… It s like nothing could distract you. Just doing your job without any sense of self.
There s more: Mr Wonderful, come in!! Another scene in the film involves Hasnat his arms wrapped around Diana saying, My beautiful…….. I am so proud of you. You did it . And finally, during another excruciating scene in which Diana tries to woo Hasnat with a quote from the Quran she replies, I studied Islam a few years ago when I was preparing a trip to Pakistan. You see, I was preparing for you before I even knew you.
Numerous contemporary and posthumous sources depict the Princess of Wales in both her finer and perverse moments, so it comes as a disappointment that film makers have not moulded the material into a relatively engrossing character portrayal. Her turbulent relationship with her royal family, her failed marriage with the Prince of Wales, the bitter rivalry with Camilla Parker Bowles , her relationship with her children and many other historical events, are kept into the background whilst the dreary romance is thrust thrift shop video clumsily forward.
Sadly it s a choppily edited, heavily episodic, drearily filmed slog through the last two years of her life. The plot s bizarre structure slushy thrift shop video Mills & Boons romance, thrift shop video punctuated by chunky historical events robs the movie of the opportunity to the explore the mindset of the most famous woman who ever lived .
It seems that producers are aware of the embittered reactions that any controversial presentation of the Princess may present. The result is this watered thrift shop video down biopic, angled for die-hard romantics and Diana fans who still cast her in a reveren

She is an accomplished author and a talented actor although she is arguably better known these days for her high-profile party cakes business run from a Chelsea shop since 1990. But in an unexpected move, Jane Asher is joining forces with the budget retailer Poundland to launch an exclusive bakeware collection in spring 2014.
Poundland's first celebrity collaboration follows the rising popularity of home baking in the UK triggered nordstorm by TV programmes such as the BBC's The Great British Bake-off which has led to one in seven Britons baking more than twice a week. Jane Asher's range of bakeware for Europe's biggest single price discount retailer will be sold in its 490-plus shops in the UK and Ireland. Most items will cost 1 but the range will include multipacks like three wooden spoons or six silicon cases for 1.
Asher, who has acted since childhood , is a passionate baker with her own shop , where elaborate bespoke cakes can cost hundreds of pounds, and several books on baking to her name. She said: "I'm delighted to be working with Poundland on developing this fantastic new bakeware range and have designed, tested and worked with every single product."
"It is also an economical way of making great quality breads, cakes and pies but of course the cost of all the equipment can be an issue for some. In my new Poundland range this will no longer be a problem as all the baking essentials are covered nordstorm and offer amazing value for money. The range is very pretty, nordstorm and comes in four pastel colours which can be mixed and matched. I've also included six quick, easy and delicious cake mixes."
"We're extremely pleased to be offering our customers an affordable entry point into the hugely popular home baking trend. For well under 10 they will be ready to bake with Poundland and we're confident that combining the excitement of a bargain with the enthusiasm of baking is going to be a recipe for success."

Poundland has decided to stop using Microsoft Windows XP, and has already started shifting to Microsoft Windows 7. In addition to that, the company staff is also being extensively introduced to Office foodland 365 Suite as a part of the vast IT upgrade that is happening now. The aspects mentioned below will give you a better picture regarding the ongoing scenario.
The company that sells every item for just 1 is very popular among customers. Poundland is already having stores in more than 400 locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company is having plans for opening 1,000 more stores foodland in the year 2014. In such a scenario, renovation of the entire IT sector is crucial.
Poundland IT services manager, Mr. Matthew Sparks recently told V3 regarding the company s decision to go ahead with Microsoft rather than Google. foodland This was mainly because the company already had a vast Microsoft base and that included extensive usage of Excel. This is what actually made the company go ahead and bring all its IT segments together, under one umbrella. At the same time, they can rely upon Microsoft help to rectify foodland all their IT related issues.
Moreover, they had already made a huge investment with Microsoft foodland and it was more appropriate to go ahead with Microsoft rather foodland than switching over to some other IT service providers. This also will enable an easy and common IT operation for all Poundland stores, from Orkney to Penzance, from a sole control point.
Mr. Sparks added that the company s most vital decision is to upgrade the entire operating systems from Windows XP to Windows 7, mainly because they are expecting the scheduled deadline of Windows XP support on April 8, 2014. The decision was final though not every location foodland is going to be upgraded very soon.
Windows XP remains very popular among the users due to numerous reasons. In times of technical problems, users can always resort to using Microsoft help. This is why Poundland had to start pushing hard on the need to upgrade to Windows 7. Or else, the lack of support for Windows XP from Microsoft after April 8, 2014 will prove to be hazardous for the company s economy and future growth prospects.
Poundland s IT director Mr. Mike Gray informed that the push to Office 365 would also facilitate proper communication and overall insight. This was mainly because Poundland had their offices located in the Republic of Hong Kong and Ireland.
Once the Office 365 rollout and the total upgrades of Windows 7 are completed, Poundland s next goal would be the setting up of the bring-your-own-device(BYOD) policies. This is also to be done at the earliest for underlining the challenges the IT teams would have to face in the future, while keeping pace with modern business trends.

I love getting makeup bargains in Poundland

Ok, this isn't exactly an original post here. I've written about the nail varnishes and other budget beauty buys I've bought from Poundland many, many times before. studio But there's a new point to this post in particular. A lot of people have been giving Poundland beauty buys a bit of a bad rep... Press, bloggers, general people. All trying to piss on this budget beauty parade. Lot's of claims have been made, stating the stock is years old, below par quality and even claiming that these products found in Poundland are bad for your health. I don't doubt that a lot of Poundland make up and nail varnishes are in fact old or discontinued lines. But I am very passionate about the fact that I would prefer these products to be sold at a discounted price rather than ending studio up in landfill or dumped somewhere and ultimately being another impact on the shabby studio state of the climate etc etc... studio I'm not exactly Greenpeace here, but all waste products need to go somewhere, don't they? And if they're not put in to landfill they would be incinerated or something, studio which isn't great either. I've always argued the point that not all stock is years old and now my point is proven.
I picked studio up 4 nail varnishes on this visit, with branded names including L'oreal, Revlon and Maybelline. studio Each one costing £1 versus the RRP that is roughly the price per nail varnish as I paid for all 4. Each colour studio is lovely (apart from the top coat which is obviously just clear) and totally colours I would have paid full price for. The L'oreal Wild Purple nail varnish i s a current shade which you'd find in Boots or Superdrug and so is the Maybelline top coat. Both are of the high standard you'd expect with no separating in the bottle, the same can be said for the two Revlon polishes. The Chroma Chameleon range are lovely shades in the bottle but apply very sheer on the nail and it takes around 3 coats to create a fully opaque finish.  They're very similar to the W7 metallic studio planets studio varnishes which were out a few years ago, but slightly better quality.
I'm assuming that this fresh stock of nail varnishes that Poundland have had in are imported from America. Another point which people slag Poundland lines off for, saying that imported stock can be more hazardous to health than UK manufactured products, a point I find ever so slightly odd when a lot of beauty bloggers praise for example - French Cosmetics, Korean make up and are always desperate for an international beauty swap with Americans. Double standards indeed. The reason I think these are American stock is because the Chroma Chameleon nail colours say on the back they were made in the USA and some colours other bloggers have featured are not available in the UK. My personal opinion studio is that if something was actually studio that hazardous to ones health it doesn't matter where it was made, a high street retailer in the UK simply would not be allowed to sell it.
Which leads me on to the final point about Poundland beauty lines, as you can see this clearly states 2013 on the back of the bottle. So alas, not as old as one would assume for Poundland beauty stock. But hey, that's just me proving a point here.... Obviously what I'm saying isn't always the case by the way, this is an example that not all Poundland beauty is going to gouge your eyes out and kill your puppies. You will find separated nail varnishes, you will find really old beauty lines (like the Stila products that one time which were over 7 years since they were manufactured) but alas, it's a case of using your common sense. If something doesn't look right, just don't buy it. If you see something which is a current line in Boots or a high street make up retailer than it's most probably imported. As long as you're savvy, in my opinion, there is no reason not to get some budget beauty treats from your local discount shop. Have you picked up any budget beauty buys lately?
I love getting makeup bargains in Poundland & many of my favourite studio Revlon & Sally Hansen polishes are from there. These L'Oreal ones you managed to bag are pretty. I have't been down in a few months but will pop in & see if my local store has any of these http://www.letstalkbeauty.co.uk/ Reply Delete
Poundland is literally my favourite place for nail polish studio bargains (closely followed by TKMaxx...) I've seen some dodgy looking ones, so I obviously haven't brought them! If you buy stuff that looks old and crappy, then it's not going to be the best! Working in retail (in a store that stocks 'highend' stuff) I think a lot of people would be surprised with how old some of the stock is on shelves studio anyway!! Love reading about any of your poundland studio bargans by the way :) xxx Reply Delete
I got a couple of Revlon nail polishes from Poundland recently - in Boots they are about £6.50 so when I found some in Poundland I was having them! I got the Aquamarine one that you have and one called Cobalt... which is s

The best article summarizing how the sponsors view the bill, or at least how they want people to per

I ve been a bit buried in the last few weeks, and so CISPA has remained somewhat in the back of my head as something that I need to get to, when I have a spare moment. I trust you are in the same boat. And since that moment hasn t appeared, I m simply going to do us both a favor, and lay out what both sides are saying about the bill, to bring a little clarity.
Up first, brass tacks: CISPA stands for the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act , it has a raft of co-sponsors, and is moving with decent alacrity towards passage. Its broad congressional support is being met with stiff resistance from activists (please never say netroots again) using various methods, including the Internet, to push back against golftown the bill.
Interestingly, the battle lines are drawn slightly golftown differently this time around, with the likes of Facebook, and Microsoft golftown (who was shamed into switching teams on SOPA), lending CISPA their John Hancock golftown (and by that we mean endorsement; if you didn t get the reference, go here ). For a fuller list of firms that are backing the legislation, golftown many of which you know and whose products you employ, head here .
If passed, golftown CISPA would amend the National Security Act of 1947 to allow government agencies to swap customer golftown data from Internet service providers and websites if that data is a threat to cyber-security. On a basic level the bill is meant to provide a means for companies and the government to share information with one another to fight against cyber threats.
That s the main thrust of what we are talking about, data sharing. To get a view of what this means in actuality, we re going to look at the pro-, and anti-CISPA positions, starting with those arguing for the bill. Let s go: CISPA Is Awesome, Will Keep You Safe
Fearing the same sort of backlash that brought down the unsinkable SOPA, congresspeople behind golftown CISPA are trying to allay the fearful by being upfront. They ve had a call with Cyber Media and Cyber Bloggers (you can laugh at them for calling it that, welcome to 1995!), and have provided numerous remarks on the subject.
The best article summarizing how the sponsors view the bill, or at least how they want people to perceive how they view it, comes from The Hill . I m going to drag out a few of the important quoted golftown quips here, but if you want the full monty, head to the link. Here we go:
A congressional staffer familiar golftown with the CISPA stressed that its requirements are totally voluntary and do not require private companies to share information with the military, as some have claimed.
Just taking that at its face value, CISPA sounds like a darn good idea. As Congressman Rogers golftown went on to say to The Hill, the hackers that the US faces in terms of security threats are not individuals, but nation-states. In other words, this bill is a requirement for keeping the integrity of the US infrastructure secure. golftown
I ll wander out a bit on a limb and assume that the idea here is that digital foreign attacks could come in any number of forms, and therefore to be able to shuffle information between ISPs and the government could boost response times. It sounds a bit hysterical to me, but I can understand the gist of it.
So golftown long as what can be deemed a cyber threat is narrow, and personal information is not disclosed except when expressly required to combat such a threat, this could be reasonable. However, in the eyes of some, both of those requirements are not being met, and that s a very real issue. CISPA Is A Disaster, Bring It Down, Legolas!
We now turn to those who view CISPA, despite perhaps having good intentions, as going too far, thus creating some rather unsettling potentialities. Let s begin with how CISPA defines a cyber threat, the situation golftown that it is designed to help with:
Well, the first one fits what the Congresspeople were talking about. The second deals with the theft of IP, and private data. That sounds like piracy to me. Of course, you might not read it that way. However, I m not alone in my thoughts. I turn now to the lovely TechDirt :
The reps insist that when they refer to intellectual property, they are not thinking about media piracy or even counterfeiting, but about foreign-based attacks on domestic companies to steal their research and development (they tout examples golftown like the plans for jet fighters). Unfortunately, the bill s definitions create no such restriction, leaving the door wide open for more creative interpretations.
I have to admit that TechDirt s argument is compelling. Especially given how powerful and well-funded the lobbies are that would push for just such a creative, and therefore broad, interpretation of the bill.

Mutuals performed strongly in November 2013 | The Economic Voice
Building societies and other mutual lenders continued to extend lending to UK homebuyers with net lending the avenue of 1.1 billion in November, and 12.1 billion in the first eleven the avenue months of 2013. This is almost double the 6.2 billion in the first eleven months of last year. Meanwhile net lending by all other lenders was minus 2.1 billion in the year to November 2013.
Mutuals the avenue have almost doubled their net lending to homebuyers in 2013, and almost a third of mortgage loans have been to first-time buyers, who are key to a thriving housing market. The mortgage market and the wider economy is now showing signs of recovery, but with this has come some concern from consumers about a potential rise in interest rates.
However, many homeowners have opted to fix their mortgages over the past year to take advantage of the current low interest rate environment and to provide some resilience against future the avenue interest rate rises. BSA data shows that in the year to November 2013 the vast majority (96%) of loans made by mutuals to first-time buyers were at fixed rates. If interest rates do increase they will do so gradually, and hopefully against a background the avenue of rising incomes as the economy continues to recover. If consumers are concerned about rising mortgage costs and the impact this could have on their finances then there are a number of fixed rate products available on the market the avenue which could help. Consumers should speak to their lender or mortgage broker to find the best solution for them.
Whilst mutuals have increased their lending in 2013, underwriting standards have remained high, and levels the avenue of arrears have actually reduced over the past year, as they have done across the avenue the market. The mutual sector has performed better than the market as a whole in this area with levels of arrears at two thirds of the market average.
Savings balances at mutuals fell in November, but are up significantly up in the first eleven months of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012. Annual consumer price inflation fell to 2.1% in November, the lowest it has been for around four years, but it still runs above growth in average earnings. Wage growth may begin to increase the avenue in 2014 if the economic recovery is sustained, the avenue which would enable more households to make regular savings.

What to Expect for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2013
These lefties studies were developed to show the value of IBM’s Digital Analytics Benchmark solution and are derived from the aggregate data obtained from 500 retailers (presumably using the solution). While it’s not representative lefties data, my guess is that the retailers in the IBM study have a lot of similarities with businesses who use the Vocus Marketing Suite .
Maybe the most important insight from IBM (and others have observed this as well) is that sales start far ahead of Black Friday (think Thanksgiving or before). Cyber Monday is a little more defined, as people get back to work, (and by work, of course, I mean shopping on their company desktop).
There are definitely blurred lines with holiday shoppers increasingly lefties privy and enabled to take advantage of sales and discounts prior to Black Friday. Black Friday and Cyber Monday see consumer surges around a couple of important bottleneck-causes: lefties the hours of brick-and-mortar stores, and the availability of broadband connections without the invasiveness of familial interruption.
Online retail lefties and mobile serve as disruptive forces to these, making performance lefties on either of these days far less of a clear-cut issue due to early sales, growth of e-commerce and increasing reliance on mobile devices to perform the functions that we traditionally use desktop computers for.
On Black Friday, social media drove .34% of online sales. On Cyber Monday, social drove .41% of online sales. Those aren’t typos: four of every one-thousand transactions were attributable to social media. And although this is contrary lefties to the popular narrative, it shouldn’t be ignored.
Critics will point out that the study used last-touch attribution to determine social’s impact on a sale, and that there are plenty of exceptions to this finding. People also point out that the word-of-mouth is an important feature of social media that contributes to sales (though you might want to check out Jonah Berger’s research on word-of-mouth before arguing that point too vociferously).
That’s up 18% and 70% year-over-year lefties respectively. It substantiates the growing amount of computing that takes place on mobile devices. Mobile optimization of e-commerce sites and emails should be an important consideration for Black Friday and Cyber Monday (as should they in general).
There’s also a very important subcategory of mobile devices that IBM pinpoints as disproportionately contributing to sales: Apple products. The lion’s share of mobile purchases were made on Apple products: 18% of all purchases on Black Friday, 14.5% of all purchases on Cyber Monday (note that this statistics are of all purchases and not just mobile). lefties
However, it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to optimize content for iPad (10% of overall purchases for Black Friday 2012, 8% of overall purchases for Cyber Monday 2012) and iPhone (7.6% of overall purchases for Black Friday 2012, 6.9% of overall purchases for Cyber Monday 2012).
There is a huge disruption this year with the further emergence of Amazon Prime (for the unfamiliar, it is a membership program that allows for free two-day shipping on most Amazon items, a Kindle book lending library and free digital video a la Netflix).
Amazon recently revealed that millions of people signed up for its Prime service last quarter after it raised the free shipping threshold to $35. The issue for retailers not named Amazon is that the shipping cost is a loss-leader for Amazon, and that participation in the program demonstrably changes purchase behavior (I just shopped for and sent two birthday presents today and never considered shopping anywhere except Amazon). lefties
It’s not evident how big this disruption will be, but retailers are feeling increased pressure especially in light-of-shipment commitments that are cost-prohibitive for smaller retailers to emulate. lefties
I use Prime as the backdrop to substantiate my last (and probably most important) point from the study. Consumers lefties were most likely to purchase in response to two things in 2012: a) deals / discounts and b) free shipping.
Of course all businesses consider the customer’s point-of-view in the context of their products and pricing, but to be competitive and cut through lefties the competition for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it seems that businesses should lefties consider the quality of the deal and whether they can include shipping gratis with every order.
IBM’s data isn’t representative of all consumers. However, it offers some sound courses of action. Focus on mobile-optimized email rather than social interaction to drive traffic / sales more effectively (the Vocus Marketing Suite sends out mobile-optimized email always). Offer a compelling deal and free shipping whenever you can. Make sure that a customer can buy stuff using their iPhone just as easily as they could b

Cyber Monday has quickly become the go-to shopping day of the year. More consumers shopped online cuponatic yesterday than on Black Friday and online receipts rose 20.6% compared to 2012 Cyber Monday sales according to the IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark. Adobe's Digital Index said Cyber Monday sales totaled $2.29 billion this year, up 16% from last year. More than 17% of shoppers placed their online orders from their mobile phones, a 55.4% year-over-year increase reports IBM. Cyber Monday, which began in 2005 as a ploy by marketing firms to get more people to buy online, ranks just behind Black Friday as one of the most profitable days of the year for retailers. A lot of shoppers cuponatic have a fixation and a fascination with Cyber Monday, says The Daily Ticker s Aaron Task in the accompanying video. And there s nothing like using your employer s time to do the shopping instead of fighting with the mobs at Walmart and everywhere else, adds Henry Blodget. Related: Cyber Monday Jewelry Deals: Are Consumers Getting cuponatic the Best Price? Shopping online has risen in popularity in recent years, yet more than 90% of all U.S. retail transactions still take place in a brick-and-mortar store, says research firm ShopperTrak. As online shopping becomes easier, cheaper and more efficient (think Amazon s delivery drones ) traditional retailers will be forced to adjust their modus operandi to stay relevant with consumers. Retailers are already losing a percentage of sales and pricing power to their online competitors and this can cause businesses to fall apart as we ve seen with JCPenney, explains Blodget. Related: Ignore the Black Friday Giant Hypefest & Huge Consumer Orgy : Ritholtz The National Retail Federation expects total holiday sales to grow 3.9% this year versus last year. Early reports from last weekend s holiday shopping extravaganza paint a slightly different picture: consumers spent $1.7 billion less than they did in 2012 and the amount each consumer spent on average this year dropped to $407.02 from $423.55 in 2012. It identifies which institutions are net borrowers and net lenders for the year. Institutions are categorized into four, namely financial corporations, non-financial corporations, the general government, and households.
The household sector remained the top saver in the economy for the fifth consecutive year, accumulating P928.9 billion in savings. “This was partly brought about by the steady stream chadstone of overseas Filipinos’ remittances,” the BSP said.
The general government sector, meanwhile, registered the highest growth in savings at 33.5 percent to P252.2 billion due to savings of the national government, local government units (LGUs), and social security agencies (SSAs).
The financial sector registered 17.5 percent growth in savings to P100.6 billion due to increased revenue generation of top private life insurance companies and the steady stream of income of the other depository corporations.
The slowdown in the sector’s capital accumulation was likewise reflected in the sharp drop in real investments of the monetary authority as purchases of non-monetary gold in the BSP’s chadstone gold buying stations plunged by 91.6 percent year-on-year.
The non-financial corporation sector maintained its net lending chadstone position, with fund provisioning activities largely reflected in the build-up of trade receivables, currency holdings and deposit placements.
The financial sector’s net lending surged by 48.2 percent to P69.4 billion as the assets of rural and cooperative banks, other deposit-taking institutions, and the insurance sub-sector increased.

5 biggest cyber threats in 2014 « CU Insight

Credit unions are in the crosshairs of an enemy that knows no geographic boundaries, in many instances is beyond the reach of U.S. law enforcement, and which is equipped with smart minds and powerful computing technology, both aimed at emptying the coffers of financial institutions.
So, sobeys what are the five biggest cyber threats security professionals finger as the prime worries for 2014? Experts readily identify the threats credit union executives need to be losing sleep over. Cloud computing is a top worry for Chad Burney , chief information officer at GTE Financial, a $1.6 billion credit union in Tampa, Fla. Burney conceded that the appeal of cloud where data is housed offsite, in remote servers, typically owned and maintained sobeys by third-party storage companies sobeys – is real.
It delivers cost savings and cloud usually also means all data is accessible by all authorized devices, no matter where they are, because in cloud computing information typically is device independent.
Realistically, Burney acknowledged, cloud probably is coming at many credit unions, probably soon, as the push for IT efficiency mounts. But, he said, he will be closely eyeing the security deliverables of any cloud offerings in which GTE Financial is involved and he will be thoroughly vetting cloud providers on the security they offer.

The data breach that has gotten many consumers skittish about using their cards and hurt retailer Ta

The camarillo outlets government today announced a probe into the possible mispricing of mortgage bonds leading up to and during the financial crisis of 2008. We hope to end this probe with a series of fines and a press conference during which one or more officials will offer a brief summary of the offenses, revealed an unnamed camarillo outlets official. Not really on the quote. I made that up entirely because in all candor it s become very difficult to take these investigations seriously at this point. Yesterday it was announced that ex-Goldman Sachs ( GS ) V.P. Fabulous Fabrice Tourres camarillo outlets was denied a new trial in his conviction on charges of being dumb enough to send an email overstating his role in the sale of a convoluted product also related to the pricing of mortgage bonds. As Breakout s Matt Nesto and I discuss in the attached clip, both of today s headlines were dramatically overshadowed by the roughly $2 billion in fines paid by JPMorgan ( JPM ) for its part in the collective effort to ignore Bernie Madoff s enormous Ponzi scheme for more than a decade. I ve taken some personal heat for referring camarillo outlets to the endless series of fines paid by JPMorgan as examples of the government systemically extorting JPMorgan on Daily Ticker with Aaron Task earlier this week. That criticism is fair. Extortion is the criminal camarillo outlets act of forcing a person camarillo outlets or entity camarillo outlets to pay out money through coercion. In return for said payments the person or entity dishing out the cash would avoid harm of some sort.  JPMorgan shares camarillo outlets are hitting all-time highs despite camarillo outlets the financial juggernaut having spent more than $31 billion in fines and legal fees since 2009. Clearly investors don t see a credible threat of harm coming JPMorgan s way anytime soon.  Justice certainly doesn t work to describe what s happening to JPMorgan. Justice suggests a punitive action that would dissuade future criminal acts and/or the righting of an egregious wrong committed against an aggrieved party. JPMorgan camarillo outlets is dishing out shareholder money but shares are at record highs. Shareholders are happier than pigs in slop. JPMorgan s relationship with the government is more of a partnership or licensing deal. JPMorgan pays fines, the government gets funded, politicos get to say mean things and claim victory, and no one goes to jail. In terms of stopping the criminal camarillo outlets behaviors in question that happened by itself long ago.  C mon. Do you really think anyone is buying or selling mortgage backed securities anymore? Wall Street moved on to other hustles years ago. It s not a matter of the fines being unfair or insufficient. The fines are pointless. JPMorgan shareholders aren t being punished and no one except camarillo outlets Goldman camarillo outlets s Fabulous Fab is actually going to jail. The question is one of justice and the public enabling an ongoing charade.  There is no justice happening camarillo outlets when it comes to Wall Street. There is a series of accusations, payouts and press conferences. If you think that s justice then you re one of the enablers. If the government has the goods it should either put top execs on the stand or come up with some sort of RICO variant to bring against the banks themselves. If no crimes are being committed, camarillo outlets regulators should camarillo outlets move to more current matters. Either way it s long past time to stop conning the public with these absurd press conferences camarillo outlets and headlines.

In the coming months, a company called Mercuri takko fashion Systems plans to introduce takko fashion a P2P ATM product takko fashion called takko fashion Spare . Few details are available at this point, but it seems that users who are able to “spare some cash” can use a mobile app to prime an ATM machine for a friend to make a withdrawal of those funds. takko fashion Users that “need some cash” can also put in requests on the app to let friends know it’s time to pony up.
Allowing P2P payments to go through cash access machines is both a logical growth in functionality for P2P payments as well as a natural step forward from ATM machines that allow cardless withdrawals to be primed beforehand and then activated using QR codes.
Much of the effectiveness of this product will depend takko fashion on the network of participating ATMs. If the functionality could be extended across international boundaries, that would greatly increase its utility. It is also unclear how users will connect on the app, though social media tie-ins would seem to be a natural starting point.
While some scoff at innovation that involves the ATM machines, the amount of cash-dependent customers — not to mention businesses — should make such critics pause. PayNearMe , which allows customers to use cash to make payments that would ordinarily only be feasible using cards or checking accounts, also operates in the space serving cash-dependent customers. Cash may be old and boring, but there is plenty of room for innovation to ease some pain for those that need to use cash often. Not everyone is ready to start buying lemonade takko fashion with bitcoins just yet.

Kremliaus šaltinis sakė, kad V.Putinui labai nedaug kainavo malonė M.Chodorkovskiui. Jis mažiau n

Michailas Chodorkovskis
JAV dolerių, todėl A.Hildebrandt iš pradžių nesutiko.
A.Merkel toliau kėlė M.Chodorkovskio klausimą visuose susitikimuose su V.Putinu.
A.Hildebrandt muziejus surengė visuomeninę kampaniją, kurios metu savo lankytojų fnc prašė pasirašyti reikalavimą išlaisvinti M.Chodo
