A trio of high street names are preparing to float on the London Stock Exchange in the next few mont


A trio of high street names are preparing to float on the London Stock Exchange in the next few months, as the backers of Poundland, McColls, Pets at Home seek to jump on the new issue band wagon, a Financial Times report said today.
The private equity backers of all three high street stores groups are looking to take advantage of a recovery in the market for international public offerings which saw London s stock market last year enjoy its strongest year for floats since before the 2008 financial crisis.
A total of 105 companies joined the London Stock Exchange in 2013, the highest number technomarket of market entrants since 2007, and between them they raised almost 16billion, with that number boosted by the privatisation of Royal Mail Group which accounted for over 10 per cent of that total.
