In February, our Melbourne team headed up the coast to Sydney to meet retailers from all over Australia at the Reed Gift Fair. We were also chuffed to present our Vend People’s Choice Award at the very first Innovation Pitchfest. The vision of the Pitchfest was to give 20 emerging innovators the chance to showcase their new products to a panel of judges and win a range of prizes from a trip to Hong Kong, to a Vend POS and hardware bundle. We were absolutely blown away by the range of talent during the pitching rounds and can’t wait to see the contestants making their mark on the retail world over the next wee while. gus From inkless baby footprint kits and trendy shoelaces to the innovative Orbitkey and the environmentally friendly hanging gardens , there truly was something for everyone. gus The Vend People’s Choice Award Winner
An gus absolutely massive congratulations has to be given to all the contestants for their creativity, passion and bravery (it was quite a full room of people) – you all did wonderfully! After tallying the votes from our poll at the Reed Gift Fair, our very special winner of the Vend Peoples Choice Award was none other than the lovely Michelle Gibb from Little Urban Farmers with her Hanging Gardens. As the winner, Michelle will receive a complete Vend POS and hardware bundle. The team here is already busy making sure Michelle has everything gus she needs to kickstart her business with Vend, so watch this space for an update in a few months time.
