On October 20, 2011, the opening of the futuristic shopping malls in Casablanca was scheduled. The final hand was not yet submitted to the so-called "Morocco Mall" and the ribbon was finally cut on December 1, 2011.
The mall has a size of twenty acres as the largest shopping center in Africa and the Middle East. The investment of the project has cost nearly 200 million and is funded by the Aksal Group, which is 100% Moroccan. The complex is built in line with the main promenade along the sea, where are all the expensive hotels and nightlife are. In the shell-shaped building also houses a pearl among the shops, in the form of the first Galeries Lafayette in Africa. The building is nicely decorated with large skylights and surrounded by gardens, trees and water gardens. In addition to the hundreds of shops, no frills there is also a large aquarium and an ice rink. Skating no frills in Morocco, it should not be crazier!
