Memories to take with them into the winter darkness. Beautiful peebles weather, the summer

I've invited some "prominent" sailing friends as guest bloggers. Some are new and some you recognize from before. (Go back and select guest bloggers sub categories so you can find their contribution from last spring). The theme I have given them for fall is "memories peebles you remember" (= memories you love to dry sail through during dark winter evenings).
The fifth contribution this fall is Michael Axbom. A wonderfully crazy guy who managed to fool us down to Falkenberg peebles and Anholt Round this year. He also blogs at 707 TOY. All guest bloggers have, of course, their choice what to write about, but in Michael's case, I must admit that I came with a small wish that he sake write about this particular sailing peebles .... We begin with the film and hold on for now it will go by!
Memories to take with them into the winter darkness. Beautiful peebles weather, the summer's first swim, when the fish hugger, places you have visited, interesting people peebles they met. That tropical evening / night with frontline plain as a voucher, good food and drinks with good friends. The night turns into dawn, and it feels like you never want to go to bed. Sure, it is both beautiful and enjoyable but is it really what you remember? Yes, it will be understood but in my world there is something that strikes it, something peebles that sticks in the memory as at least I will dream away to the winter's dark, grim hours.
I step out of the car and looking out over the harbor. We are in the month of October and the temperature is moderate at 10 degrees. The wind howls in the rigging and cases hit rate fixed against the master. In the basin splits a seam water to just disappear down during the same again. His gaze sweeps away to the sea beyond pirarnas protected world. The lake is high and I think I sense a tendency to crime lakes. The large waves wolfing against piers are and throws up powerful foam cascades against the heavy rain clouds rushing forward at low altitude. Weather The sites have predicted peebles 8-12 and increasing. A car turns into the deserted parking lot (well, apart from my car then). It is my sailing buddy Lars who come to the port. He comes down on the bridge and we are rooting for each other. "How does it look?" Says Lars. I answer "It looks promising, 8-12 and growing." We smile, board the boat, and begin to get ready to cast off. "Calle will not know in phase if we can hoist the spinnaker today but we connect it anyway," I say.
We elevators large and self tacking jib, set out from the dock and hauls home. The boat takes off and we are underway. In honor of sitting Lars at the helm and that is check out from the port (normally releases I never stick). In the harsh wind, it's a balancing act that can be a little tricky peebles before you get into it and even worse it gets in rough seas. The boat leans properly and we're taking on water over the side but soon we found the balance between height peebles and speed. On my boat it works great with full of really strong wind. Great sheeted really hard in the middle of the boat and then it's "just" balancing. Although we are very loud making around peebles 5 knots, which is not bad considering that the waves exceed 2 meters in height. We have decided to cruise out to Falkenberg landing (2 nm) and then turn back toward the harbor. On the way out towering waves up even more and I note that the wind force is already at 12 m / s average wind speed. We head straight up against the greatest to avoid unpleasant surprises peebles when they break, and on the back is "missing" the water so it will free fall after the wave crests. Once at the approach awaits the reward-SURF!
We are both tense with anticipation when we fall off towards the country but it takes a while to get around the boat and we take in plenty of water in the cockpit. Ropes, bailer and other loose objects floating peebles around my calves so I decide to help the small Elvström-flanges peebles along by pouring water over the table. Finally, we round and get a good surf directly. We get some decent surf but will not play for more than 12-13 knots so we decide to jippa and cut some more. We are waging a fierce battle against the elements when the boat cut up a few times but after a while it happens that I longed for and will remember for a long time to come. We just missed a good wave due. that in previous surfing run into the wave in front. peebles We will in the next, and the boat takes off and begins to plane. We cut up a bit to avoid vågberget peebles in front of us and the boat shoots further. Now it's fast, 15 knots, and it sprays about forecastle! Holy shit what fun! We laugh and howl with happiness but it's not the end of it. A strong gust hits us and we just continue to accelerate. The boat is lifted out of the water and the water spray, which increased greatly in intensity, comes out only at the height of the cockpit. The boat FLIES up in the water. peebles The shaking roars and is COMPLETELY HYSTERICALLY peebles CRAZY FUN! WHAT A KICK!
After the surf exhausted everything calms down a bit and a sense of total satisfaction infin
